GENERAL CONDITIONS

The event shall be ruled by the terms in this invitation and what is not expressed here by the document  REGULATIONS FOR THE AMERICA'S CONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP found on the website of the Confederation of Chess of the Americas:

11 Swiss rounds.
The rate of play following FIDE orders will be 1:30 hours for 40 moves+ 30 minutes finish plus 30 sec every move since move 1 instead of the previos time control of 1:30 plus 30sec. Mechanical clock rate will be 2:00h for 40 moves + 30 minutes knockout .
Features: Open Tournament, each chess player from any Federation from America may enter regarding he has the desired ELO FIDE, which is equal to or greater than 1800 points. Is exempting American countries belonging to CACDEC, which may send a representative without the ElO condition. All participants must  display the authorization of its federation. The Tiebreaker System for the Absolute Championship: Results of their individual game, if applicable. Progressive Score, Progressie with cuts Bucholz Bucholz with cuts.

Rights:

The SIX (6) better players qualifies for FIDE World Cup. In the event of a tie for one or more spots the final  ranking is defined as follows: If there is a Tie betwen 2 Players: 2 games of 15 minutes per player, with an additional 10 seconds per move. If the tie persits will be played 2 other games of 5 minutes each, if there is stil a tie It will be played a game where white plays with 6 minutes and black with 5 minutes. The player who win the draw pick the color, in case of a tie still the player with Black will win.
Tie with 3 or more players: Round Robin with 15 minutes per player plus 10 sec per move from move 1. In case of a tie the tiebreaker will be the one applied on the Swiss tournament. Additionally, the tournament gives norms of 20 games:

Any player who arrives at the chessboard more than one hour after the scheduled start of the session shall lose the game


An offer of draw upon agreemen between the two playes is valid at any time during play. (See Article 9.1.b)

A player may appeal against any ruling made by Chief Arbiter or one of the assistents, provided the appeal is accompanied by a fee of € 150 euros and submitted in written form not later than 1 hour after the end the respective round.

 Entitled to accommodation and meals by the organization: The Pan American Junior Champion, one appointed by the Continental Chairman and up to five of chess Zone 2.1, two of the zone and 2.2 for each of three Zones: 2.3, 2.4 and 2.5, which must be designated and notified to the organization until the day July 10 sharp. Note: The organization recognizes the previous rights, from lunch of 25 until dinner of August 2. Accommodation are in double rooms. Who wishes to change to single room must pay the difference.

The prizes will be payed by checks from CCA (no cash) . They do not acumulate, If someone gets two prizes the bigger one will be payed. The prizes are split until the 15º place.
